What's Happening Here

It's been a while so I thought I'd post something about what's happening at our house.

What's new with Chris: I weighed him yesterday..... and it said 15 pounds! Crazy! What a big baby we have. He is getting more and more cute every day. He's smiling so much now! And he seems to like playing a little more, whether it's with toys or it's the little games we play. He also likes to "talk" a lot now! It's mostly with my mom or me, and sometimes Jed, but he's starting to branch out a little bit. Here's a video of it:

What's new with Jed: School was over in April, so for the month of May and June he's been just working. This month starts summer semester, which means he starts his golf class! He's excited.

What's new with Me: School ended the last day of May. It was very sad to see my kids go! I really enjoyed going back to work. It was so fun to see how the students had improved. Daily I was thinking about where the students were at the beginning of the year and what great strides we had made! We had gone from getting hit dozens and dozens of times a day to rarely; diapers to potty trained; no reading at all to reading at or above grade level; counting to 5 to counting above 30 and by 10's up to 100; not being able to sit for even 5 minutes to being able to sit for 15-20. It's been incredible. I'll miss them a lot!

Starting Monday I start working at Mt. Mahogany. Because of my bed rest/maternity leave, I was unable to finish my portfolio, plus I missed a lot of hours. So, I'm doing summer practicum all over again! But this time, I don't have all those assignments I had last year that made it stressful. This time, I have just a few assignments, and then I get to just be a teacher and have fun! And fun we will have! It is every morning for 6 weeks, and then it August I will graduate! Yay!

Also, as a side note, my brother left for his mission on Wednesday! Sad, but exciting. He's going to the Argentina MTC and then to his mission in Asuncion, Paraguay. He'll be an awesome missionary!

So life here at the Stephenson's is moving forward. It's been really fun and we are so very happy!
