Day Trip to Manti

So last week, we took a little trip down to Manti! We didn't even take pictures, but I thought I would mention how it went.

First of all, it wasn't just Jed and I. We got to share our little trip with Natalie and Matthew! (Natalie: best friend since age 8. Matthew: fiance of Natalie)

So we left in the afternoon and drove down to Manti. Not the most interesting ride, but it was beautiful nonetheless. We also enjoyed seeing the small towns on our way. It is hard to imagine how life would be living there.

Once in Manti, we went to what turned out to be the last temple session before they closed for the Manti Pageant. Lucky that we left when we did! It was awesome and we very much enjoyed it. There's a lot of history in that temple. In the celestial room there was a table that was made from several women's sewing tables they brought across the plains. One of the sealing rooms is called the Needlepoint Room because all the chairs were hand embroidered by women who helped in the temple. So cool. Jed and I have really enjoyed going to different temples. It's fun to hear about the history. As we get to travel more and see more temples, we'll have to look up the history before we go!

After that we went to The Malt Shop in Ephraim. It was delicious and super fun. We laughed through most of dinner and I just hope we didn't disturb the other customers.... Finally, we drove home. Half of us slept, and it was a very relaxing ride home. Now the question is, which temple will we travel to next?
